We're not a certified organic operation, but we hold ourselves to the same standards. The Canadian Organic Standards are our benchmark for soil health, inputs, and growing practices.
WE PROMOTE PLASTIC-FREE FARMING
Growing healthy food in healthy soil means actively choosing plastic-free alternatives to consumable and agricultural plastics, even when it costs more or takes longer to source. It isn't always possible, but “can we do it without plastic?” is the first question we ask.
WE GROW DEEP ROOTS IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Strong food systems are a critical part of resilient communities and economies. We sell, source, and partner locally on the Saanich peninsula or on Vancouver Island whenever we can — because the health of our communities and food systems are interconnected.
